To,
The Honorable Chief Minister,
Bihar
Date:-11 August 2016
Subject:-Regarding the reopening
of British Library at Buddha Colony, Patna
Sir,
The British Library at bank Road,
Patna was closed with a view to deprive the people of global knowledge and access
under the pretext of low-level uses. It was the only center for excellence for
academician but then government took negative interest in the matter and did
nothing to retain the functioning of the library.
There is a huge chunk of
government land at Buddha Colony, Patna south of Buddha Colony Police Station
which can well be utilized for the construction to revive and accommodate the British
Library or start new high tech on our own.
Please don’t ignore the plea of
backward Bihar aspiring to develop in academic front.
I attach the news paper clip
showing vacant government land.
