To,
The Principal Secretary,
Home Department, Government of Bihar
Date:-22 March 2015 (Bihar Diwas)
Subject: - Regarding withdrawal of Bihar Policemen from as many as
fifteen banks under Buddha Colony Police Station, Patna
Sir,
There are as many as fifteen banks under Buddha Colony Police Station,
Patna having two Bihar policemen each totaling about thirty policemen whereas
most of the banks have their private or departmental security men. Couple of
policemen serves perhaps no purpose as the banks have full-proof security
system including CCTV, alarm and others which are enough to raise alarm against
any untoward attempt and incidents. There are many ATMs under the same Police
station needing policemen but the banks have their departmental or private
security guards whereas the ATMs are more vulnerable to loot and robbery than
any branch operating in crowed and day time.
If the policemen are withdrawn and thirty policemen are deployed in
public to maintain order the traffic situation and others shall improve to
satisfactory level.
I, therefore, appeal you to review the deployment of policemen at banks
throughout the day without substantial use and purposes and also advice the
banks to arrange their security personnels.
