Subject:-Regarding waiver of tax for unused services (No Use No Tax Bill/Law)

Sirs,

There are taxes in our country and states which have to be collected from the people by government and its departments for various services including electricity, water, land, income, service, license, transport, road, shop, industries, offices and dozen more services. We have companies and departments which are more reasonable as they charge nothing or nominal for suspended services viz telecommunication, information and broadcasting department, banks and few more. If the customer is out of town or network for specific period of time, they simply submit an application for the suspension of mobile or phone service and waiver of tariff proportionately. In bank, if you want your account to rest for few months or year, you can write an application for the suspension of your account for specific period of time, you simply write an application and the same is done and you are relieved of bank service charges. Even electricity department provide such facilities but not hassle-free. Internet service provider also offers the same facilities hassle-free. You can enjoy same benefit with set top box and few others services.

But the government does not give any aforesaid opportunity or option to land and house owners and other users. Most of the people have huge land and buildings, movable and immovable property at many places across the state and nation which are unused due to reasons, some of them are inflicted due to delay and apathy and slow-paced process of police, karmchaari, Circle Officer, Sub Divisional Officer, revenue department and court etc. but they are taxed according to the tax slab equally and inconsiderably.

Same thing happens with income tax payers. Whether one is earning any money or not, they have had to file the return after paying fee to their income tax counselor/consultant.

There are many such taxes which are not less than periodic extortion by various governments and departments.

I, therefore, appeal you to bring a bill/law to exempt taxes hassle-free for any service suspended for any specific period of time and relieve the people of official/departmental extortion.
