STF abduction like arrest in Bihar

To,
The Honorable Minister,
Ministry of Home Affairs
Honorable Chief Justice of India

Date:-19 August 2013

Subject:-Regarding the lifting of any suspect on the name of investigation by special task force or so in mufti without any intimation.

Sir,
The trend of lifting any suspect by STF or any agency in mufti from any place on the name of investigation without any information to his/her relatives is growing faster. The agency justify it saying that the relatives create ruckus or vandalize the police station at the police station on the information that someone related has been lifted for investigation. To avoid ruckus and vandalizing of the local police station, the agency can send the suspect to a far away police station or higher authority institution.

Even the high-tech/profile criminal are lifted or arrested without any information but soon after the criminals are arrested, it is informed publically.

This trend is not only gross legal, human or fundamental violations, it also offers an invitation and free-willing to the enemies and contract criminals, as, such lifting of suspect or any person is done in mufti without any legal formalities. Such act of agency may force-encourage the contract criminals to develop such act into a business making all the civilized their prey.

The information of such lifting and arrest must be sent to at least one relative so that they may be well informed and exercise various rights provided in the constitution.

I, therefore, appeal you to order the reinstatement of guidelines regarding such arrest or lifting of anybody or revisit the hyper-sensitive issue.

I attach one paper clip citing such arrest and lifting of person on the name of investigation.
