Namaz in Kotwali P.S

To,
He Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna

Date:-05 July 2013
Subject:-Regarding the Friday Namaz in the campus of sensitive Kotwali police station, Patna

Sir,
I feel constrained to bring to your notice that Friday namaz by Muslim community is offered at the very sensitive Kotwali police station, Patna which not only hampers the smooth functioning of the police station but also throws traffic out of gear causing unnecessary inconveniences to the commuters. Above all, it sound and looks quite bizarre that the Friday Namaz is offered at the police station. This may create problems further as many other religions would request permission to offer rituals at the Kotwali Police station or many other police stations. Apart from all this, it appears to be a blatant violation of police manuals and rules. Even the secular government of the states does not encourage such violations. Our country is secular but with a view to tender secularism Friday Namaz is not allowed in the state assembly and Parliament.

I, therefore, appeal you to stop the practice immediately and with a view to show kindness towards Muslim community, please make some alternative arrangements.
